If you own an Akai MPC Live 2, you probably bought it for the same reason I did: it's one of the best portable standalone music production systems ever made. Whether you're making beats on the couch, at a friend's studio, or on the road, the MPC Live 2 was designed to go wherever inspiration strikes.
Unfortunately, the moment you start transporting a piece of gear that costs hundreds of dollars, protecting it becomes a priority. When I started searching for a hard case for my MPC Live 2, I was surprised to discover that many of the cases specifically marketed toward MPC users cost $100 or more.
That's a tough pill to swallow after already investing in the hardware itself.
Rather than paying premium prices for a specialized case, I started comparing dimensions and looking at alternatives designed for DJ controllers. After a little research, I found a surprisingly affordable solution that has worked extremely well for my setup.

The case I ended up purchasing is a molded EVA Hard Case for the Pioneer DJ DDJ-SB2, DDJ-SB3, and DDJ-400 controllers. While it wasn't originally designed for the MPC Live 2, the overall shape and dimensions are remarkably similar, making it an excellent budget-friendly alternative.
I've used this case for multiple years of transporting my MPC Live 2 between home, studio sessions, and travel, and it has held up surprisingly well.

- Extra Storage Space: The additional room allows me to carry my power adapter, USB cables, audio cables, adapters, a foldable laptop stand, and even my iPad alongside the MPC.
